Kristen Branch-McGlamery, LPC/MHSP, is a two-time graduate of Milligan University, holding both a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Over the past three years, she has dedicated her career to working with children and adolescents, starting from age 5. Kristen has developed expertise in supporting clients dealing with anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, trauma, ADHD, and other challenges in both outpatient and school-based settings. She has recently began working with and providing support to mothers and college age students as they maneuver and adjust to current or new life changes.
She is trained in evidence-based interventions, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and the RUBI Autism Network Parent Training for Disruptive Behavior. Kristen takes a client-centered approach to therapy, prioritizing the therapeutic relationship as a key component of the healing process. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques, while also incorporating creative interventions like art, literature, and tabletop role-playing. Additionally, Kristen enjoys using play therapy to engage her clients in meaningful and healing ways.
